Description: So I been continuing with my projects! This is the 3rd week in a row with the videos. I choreographed and taught it out to Kailani in 3 hours...filmed some shots for the beginning..and after that we were able to film the dance that same night/morning. Sorry I wasn't able to release this Thursday like I have been..had technical difficulties on the editing side lol. Why: Besides just trying to create as much as possible..another thing I enjoy when I have time is the challenge of creating on other dancers or for certain styles of music. Especially my old videos you'll notice I switch up the genres of music, which moves my style in a different way from my "normal" (Fine China, Showgirl, No Type, Trophies, Lessons in Love, Runnin, Commas, and many more). Lately I been sticking to my favorite of the styles I can tap into, but I think everyone is so used to me showcasing that specific style and skill that people forget I enjoy doing more! Why (cont.) For this week, I choreographed a piece for Kailani Buhain. She is 16 years of age and dancing with AD-2, T.O.W.N., and Varsity Seattle. You might have remembered her in my "7/11" or "Elastic Heart" videos. You could also find her in any of the AD-2 pieces I posted like "Runnin'", "Living Room Flow", or "Panda". Definitely stepped out of my comfort zone when working on this one, but I was able to cater to Kailani's quality of movement. This was a fun challenge for me and a great challenge for her when getting this project together in such short notice! I was very busy during the weekend so I couldn't get a headstart on choreography...but glad I was still able to make my deadline for filming a video every wednesday night/thursday morning. Thank you Kailani for being a part of the video! It has been a pleasure watching you grow since the "Coolin" video we did in 2011 lol. Excited to see what I will come up with next week.
